The High School production of Pirates of Penzance took months of preparation and rehearsal. It took a lot of effort and dedication from students and faculty alike. To call it a triumph would be a wild understatement. Below are some examples from the musical that people have posted to YouTube.
The pit orchestra – they sat there for over 2 hours and played that complex Gilbert & Sullivan score perfectly. That takes talent and hard work, and they’re to be commended for providing the musical backbone of the whole production.
The cast – their voices were amazing, the acting wonderful, and the comic timing spot-on. This isn’t just raw talent, but its enhancement and refinement. It’s a team effort between the talent and their teachers and advisors.
This sort of excellence is what Clarence is all about. We simply can’t afford to lose this.
